THE ANGELINA JOLIE LONG, MEDIUM TO THICK FULL HAIR UPDO

If you have long hair, the Classic Upsweep Updo is great for a casual event, prom, formal event, or wedding. Perfect for medium or long hair, fine hair, or with a bit of wave, and unwashed

DESCRIPTION: FULL UPDO
OCCASION: WEDDING, PROM, FORMAL
HAIRTYPE: LONG, MEDIUM TO THICK, ALL TEXTURES

Follow these simple step by step updos instructions to get this look!

1. Do not shampoo your hair the day of the event.

2. Blowdry with a round brush to create volume. If you want to add thickness and voluminous oomph to your look you can always clip in some good quality hair extensions.

3. Roll your hair in curlers using the larger curlers for the longest layers and the smaller curlers for the smaller ones.

4. Spray fine layer of hairspray evenly over entire head and let set for 15 minutes to 30 minutes depending on thickness of hair.

5. Carefully unravel, run-through the curls gently with your fingers and shake head from side to side, if necessary gently run through with a wide tooth comb.

6. Starting at the top of your head loosely pull small sections of your hair back (don’t worry if you have long strands left hanging – we will deal with these later), twirl loosely and secure with a bobbypin towards the back of your head.

7. Repeat this in a clockwise motion around your head until all pieces are secure.

8. Start back at the top of your head and loop hanging strands of hair around a curling iron and set.

9. Once properly curled, secure loosely to head with bobby pin.

10. Gently pull out a few loose strands to frame the face.

11. Finish with an ample amount of hairspray to set the look and for an added touch try accenting with a hair comb or pins.

TIP: to get the extra lift on your crown, as seen here, you can use a volumizing texture spray and tease hair with a teasing comb at the roots. If you want to avoid the damage backcombing can do, consider a "Bumpit" - an insert hidden under the hair that will give hair volume and lift all night.
