TEAGUE 20/20 HEADPHONES CONCEPT

Here's the TEAGUE’s 20/20 concept explores the serendipitous match between R. Buckminster Fuller’s tensegrity structure and the unique structural requirements of headphone adjustment mechanisms.

TAG-HEUER FORMULA ONE AND MERCEDES-BENZ WATCHES

Guys, these are TAG-Heuer Formula one and Mercedes-Benz watches. The sport car effect is emphasized by the arms with vivid red inlet. Pressing the buttons on both sides of the Mercedes logo releases the strap. Out of the three middle arms the left one is the tenth, the right one is the hundredth seconds while the bottom one displays the charge of the watch. The button is placed in the first TAG-Heuer logo. The watch is supplied with both a rubber and a metal strap.

ALCOHOL MOST DANGEROUS AND HARMFUL THAN HEROIN

Guys, according to a new study from a former UK chief drugs adviser, alcohol is more damaging to drinkers and to wider society compared to heroin or crack, and all three are far more harmful than cannabis, ecstasy, or magic mushrooms. That’s right; it’s about time for you to throw away those Tequilas and Jack. I’ll gladly ‘clean’ them away for you.

A psychiatrist and neuropsychopharmacologist named David Nutt put together the numbers for this study by giving each drug a score in categories like mental damage, physical damage, addictive qualities, contributions to crime, costs the economy, and harm to communities. Ironically, he was fired from his position as the British government’s chief adviser on drugs after releasing a similar drug-ranking study.

Well, alcohol came out top in the chart. But not falling very far behind would be heroin, crack and methylamphetamine. Funnily, even though booze didn’t rank among the top three for harm to one’s self, its harm to others score was so high that when the two were combined, it took the top spot of the entire survey with a whopping 72.

Here’s the list (ranked from most harmful to least):

* Alcohol 72
* Heroin 55
* Crack 54
* Crystal meth 33
* Cocaine 27
* Tobacco 26
* Amphetamine 23
* Cannabis 20
* GHB 18
* Benzodiazepines 15
* Ketamine 15
* Methadone 13
* Butane 10
* Qat 9
* Ecstasy 9
* Anabolic steroids 9
* LSD 7
* Buprenorphine 6
* Magic Mushrooms 5
* Getting high on life 0

Right, now we should all get drunk again.

GOOGLE CHROME OS SMARTBOOK INTRODUCING SOON

Wow, here is a big surprise. DigiTimes is citing sources from “component players” claiming that the first smartbooks featuring Google’s bigger operating system will launch sometime late the month. Apparently, they will follow the Nexus One strategy, whereby the launch of a self-branded Chrome OS notebook manufactured by Inventec will be made available to developers only, and ODM will follow suit for the mass market – the ARM-based machine will not be sold through normal retail channels and is expectated to ship a very modest 60,000 to 70,000 units. Acer and HP are rumoured to be launching Chrome OS gear as early as December while ASUS waits to gauge market reaction. Now, where’s Dell?

MULTITOUCH TABLE CONNECT FOR iPHONE IN LIVING ROOM

Here 58-inch multi-touch giant iPhone table is designed to be a 58-inch working iPhone. The 58-inch multi-touch surface accepts iPhone 4 connections via a 30-pin Dock Connector, and with a bit of magic, the table becomes your iPhone. To make the desk work, you need to connect a regular jailbroken iPhone, and then the giant multi-touch surface acts like a huge remote display.

The desk in the pictures is just a mockup, but the people from Table Connect say they will reveal the actual working version on Tuesday. The Table Connect will be an actual product you can buy, but they did not have any expected price yet.
