TEAM LAUNCHED XTREEM LV DDR3-1866 AND XTREEM LV DDR3-2000 MEMORY MODULES

Team Group, the memory enthusiast company today announced two new members from its Xtreem family of memory modules. Known as the Xtreem LV DDR3 1866 and Xtreem LV DDR3 2000, these memory kits provide superfast speed of 1866MHz and 2000MHz, respectively. This baby will definitely push your Core i5 or Core i7 (Socket 1156) setup much further.

The next-generation Xtreem LV series comes equipped with high-speed 256×8 chips that were manufactured through new process which should be OC-happy for overclocking enthusiasts. Additionally, these low-voltage (LV) modules work only at 1.65V and deliver a low latency at 9-11-9-27. The Team Xtreem LV DDR3-1866 and DDR3-2000 MHz memory kits are now available for purchase. Too bad, there is no info on pricing so far. Up for some overclocking party?

SONY ERICSSON PLAYSTATION PHONE

Here's the real PlayStation Phone that’ll be coming in early 2011 under Sony Ericsson. Unbelievable? Yep. The look’s pretty much final here, though I’d expect Sony to somehow pump up the visual styling of it to look slightly more ‘fun’ than just plain ol’ slide out gamepad. Sony is trying hard to push this baby out in Christmas, though that seemed to be rather harsh. This thing still doesn’t look very ‘final’ to me.

The phone will boast Android 3.0 (Gingerbread), along with a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform. The device snappedis sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches. The handset does indeed have a long touchpad in the center which is apparently multitouch, and you can see in the photos that it’s still bearing those familiar PlayStation shoulder buttons. For Sony buffs, you’ll be interested to know that there’s no Memory Stick slot here, but there is support for microSD cards.Odd right? Does Google has something to do with that?

WINDOW 7 AND SERVER 2008 R2 SP1 RC TO PUBLIC

Microsoft has finally announced today the Release Candidate (RC) for their Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) to the public. What does that mean? Well, simple. The final is just around the corner. A month or so if we go by the usual. As previously announced, the only new features added to the SP1 are the Windows Server 2008 R2-related virtualization technologies, Dynamic Memory and RemoteFX, and while Windows 7 SP1 will enable PCs to take advantage of these server-based features to provide a more scalable and richer VDI experience for end users, there are no additional new features specific to Windows 7. I don’t really recommend downloading it, if you’re a typical user, as beta usually will come with a bug or few, despite being heavily tested. But if you’re the adventurous type, there’s no harm in hitting the source. Seriously, the service pack doesn’t do much to commoners.

RUNAWAY SHORT FILM BY KANYE WEST

Here’s the 35-minute short film Kanye west briefly teased at the VMAs last month. The usual suspects — Pusha T, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj (in a Brit accent), and Bon Iver — make vocal assists, and allegedly 90% of this soundtrack will appear on the forthcoming LP. “Runaway” (written by Hype Williams and shot in Prague over the summer) was inspired by groundbreaking cinematic rock films like Thriller, Purple Rain and The Wall. Which explains the papier-mâché model of Michael Jackson’s head.

PLAYBOOK BLACKBERRY SIMULATOR APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Somehow, people seemed to love the PlayBook by RIM. Part of it might be the OS developed by QNX. Now RIM has announced the availability of the Adobe AIR SDK for their BlackBerry Tablet OS. Tagging along this SDK is something called the BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator. Hopefully we will see lots of applications for the PlayBook once it hits retail. The simulator requires Adobe AIR 2.5 to run, while the latest release from RIM’s site is still offering 2.0.2. So be patient and wait for RIM to update its site if you’re eager to play around with the SDK.

ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10.1 OFFICIALLY GOES TO BLACKBERRY, WINDOWS PHONE 7, SYMBIAN, MEEGO

Adobe Flash player are headed for all of the major smartphone operating systems. Android 2.2 already has Flash Player 10.1 supported, so now Adobe is making the real big move to have their latest Flash Player in nearly all smartphones, except for one very arrogant fruit company’s smartphone. Yes, at their latest Max conference, Adobe has announce that their plug-in will be heading their way into Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 7, as well as BlackBerry OS (not sure whether only the 6 will have it, or older versions as well), and HP’s latest WebOS 2.0, the dying Symbian, MeeGo, and last but not least, the LiMo platform. Unfortunately, there’s still no timeline for a release on each platform, with Adobe only saying that that Flash 10.1 is “expected” to hit each mobile OS.

A large room serves as the stage for a full-size representation of the Pac-Man universe. A white Chevy Cruze plays the part of Mr. Pac-Man while a series of Black Cruzes represent the ghosts.Cute stuff.

General Motors seemed to love classical arcade games, as they go back to our sweet old childhood in their latest advertisement for their little new compact sedan. Well, there’s no harm in playing Pac Man when you’re trying hard to sell your latest global car, since nearly the whole world knows Pac Man game, I think.

BLACKBERRY BOLD 9780 GOING TO BE AVAILABLE IN NOVEMBER 2010

Guys, here's The Bold 9780 is essentially a polished Bold 9700 with better 5-Megapixel camera, as we’re looking at leaks from many sources like Vodafone Netherlands, T-Mobile UK, and Orange. This seemed to be a pretty wide-scale global launch of the refreshed QWERTY smartphone from RIM. Well, there’s no harm to sticking to a design that’s already great right? The Bold 9780 with better 5-Megapixel camera, and a beefed up 512MB RAM to handle the preloaded new BlackBerry 6 OS. When’s it coming? Well Vodafone Netherlands says that it’s going to be available sometime in November 2010. So if you loved your current Bold 9700, perhaps you’d be interested in this improved version, since I see it pretty hard to have RIM update your Bold 9700 with the BlackBerry 6. You’ll have a hard time finding enough free space after that update anyway.

RED NINTENDO Wii REMOTE PLUS

Here's a simple bundle that adds that MotionPlus into your typical Wiimote, but they’re doing it fair as it’s only priced at USD$40. You surely won’t miss it, as it’s packed in a super bright crimson red package. Might be the influence of that New Super Mario Bros included in the bundle.

Regardless, that’ll be USD$199, and that new, 25th Anniversary red DSi XL bundle Nintendo announced last month is official too, costing USD$179. All three launch in just a couple weeks, on November 7, so get ready to ditch those dongles.

BOEING 737 AIRCRAFT INSTALLED eXCONNECT HIGH SPEED BROADBAND INFLIGHT

It seemed that Boeing would be the first company to implement real Internet connectivity during in-flight. Yes, soon you’ll be able to surf Facebook and watch some YouTube some 30,000 kilometres up in the sky. The company has just announced the first certification and installation of Panasonic Avionics’ eXConnect in-flight internet service in one of its Boeing Business Jet 737 aircraft, which will initially be used by Panasonic itself for ongoing testing and demonstrations.

That’s the same system that will be used by Cathay Pacific, and consist of a fuselage-mounted antenna that communicates with a network of satellites to deliver speeds of up to 50Mbps, or about a hundred times faster than most competing in-flight WiFi. Thus far, this is still in testing stage, so there’s no mention of implementation into commercial aircraft anytime soon. But I can bet that soon it’ll get into our super-expensive long-haul flights anyway.

BOOBS KUSH GADGETS HELP THE WEARER HAVE A GOOD SLEEP

Girls, are you afraid of saggy breasts? They may look good with a good bra, but once you let go of the bra, they somehow look rather awfully sad, right? Don’t worry, as someone has a solution for you! And all the magic is done with a plastic cylinder! Just slip the Kush in your cleavage before you wander off to slumberland, and you wake up with immaculate boobs. Or so the makers claim.
Inventor Cathinka Chandler said: “As women age, wrinkles and folds can form between the breasts. Because I sleep on my side, I learned that gravity and the pressure of my breasts resting on top of each other was the culprit.”
The American gadget, which comes in three handy sizes and seven colours, sells for between £30 and £40. It is aimed at women with C-cup or larger, nursing mothers and those with implants. The Kush will also be available in the UK, as it’s about to be launched in Britain by Joanne Darbost from Lincolnshire.

‘I wish it had been available when I was pregnant as the answer for those uncomfortable nights, when a good sleep is so desperately needed.’ – she said.

Now, why a plastic cylinder, and not a mineral bottle? I can even think of so many; some of them can even vibrate!

CONGO AIR CRASH BLAMED ON A SMUGGLED CROCODILES

The Democratic Republic of Congo flight turned deadly when a crocodile escaped from a passenger’s duffle bag. According to the flight’s sole human survivor, panicking passengers fled into the cockpit and caused the pilot to lose control.

The first reports of the crash speculated that the plane had run out of fuel and “couldn’t make a proper landing,” but the ostensible truth is far more inexplicable. It seems that one of the private flight’s passengers was smuggling a crocodile in his carry-on and lost track of the animal.

The terrified air hostess hurried towards the cockpit, followed by the passengers. The plane then became unstable, despite the desperate efforts of the pilot. Well, you could guess the result of that.

20 people died as a result of the crash. The crocodile did survive the crash however, but was executed with a machete. 20 down, only 1 survived. I guess the crocodile win after all. But I still don’t get how they manage to dump a living crocodile in the cargo.

WINDOWS 7 LICENCES SOLD 240 MILLION IN ONE YEAR

Yesterday marks the one-year anniversary of Microsoft’s Windows 7, and what’s more to celebrate this grand birthday than with a big number celebration tagging along? Yes, in this one year since the release of Windows 7, Microsoft has sold 240 million licenses of it.

Brandon LeBlanc, a Microsoft spokesman, calls it “the fastest selling operating system in history” in a blog post.

“Six months after launch, 100 percent (over 18,000) of our OEM partners were selling Windows 7 PCs versus 70 percent for Windows Vista PCs at a comparable time period,” LeBlanc wrote.

Earlier this month, Microsoft brought back the Windows 7 Family Pack, which provides upgrade licenses to Windows 7 Home Premium for up to three devices for $149.99. It is available now in the U.S.; after Oct. 22, the family pack offering will expand to Canada, the U.K., Germany, France, Australia and other international markets.

Several Microsoft employees posted their seven favourite features about Windows 7 on the company’s blog. To commemorate the anniversary, LeBlanc asked people to do the same in the comments section for a chance to win a full copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (and some Microsoft stickers). You have until 8am Pacific on Oct. 27 to submit your thoughts.

UBO CAR CONCEPT

Here is another great car design called the red Ubo car concept as a project. The UBO Concept was made by Brazilian Designer Urbano Rodriguez.

DELL VENUE PRO WINDOWS PHONE 7

Dell has whooped out their own version of the Windows Phone 7 handset, albeit only one model, and a very odd one among the crowd. It’s called the Dell Venue Pro. Dell’s take on the Windows Phone 7 is a portrait slide-out QWERTY keyboard style, and it’s a huge portrait slider Windows Phone 7, at 4.1-inch. It’s a capacitive, multitouch display joined by additional back, home, and search touch-sensitive buttons. Looks typical of a WinPo7 handset, until you slide out the QWERTY keyboard hiding behind.

The great news about Dell’s version is that their WVGA AMOLED screen is re-enforced with Gorilla Glass, which is famous for being tough, like a Gorilla. There’s a 5-Megapixel camera with flash at the back. The phone is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon, which seemed to be the same case for everyone else, at least on the number of muscles wise.
