CHINA MOBILE WANTS iPHONE 3G WITHOUT 3G

Are you kidding me? China Mobile might be asking Apple to take off the 3G capabilities and the WiFi feature from the iPhone 3G. Alright, thing goes like that. According to cnet, China Mobile wants Apple to ship the iPhone with WiFi and 3G chips disable is because of….competition. China Mobile is planning to get their own 3G network based on a homegrown Chinese standard for third-generation networks that is not compatible with the widely used W-CDMA standard ~ that is also expected to be used by China Mobile competitor China Telecom. But why taking off the Wifi feature? That will be an inconvenient phone for traveling.
